Liverpool Community Chorus

Founded in 1980 with the support of Sharon Fulmer and Linda Loomis, the Liverpool Community Chorus was created to perform for the Liverpool Village Sesquicentennial. Its roots trace back to a small women’s chorus started at Liverpool Elementary School. Under the leadership of Phil Lambrinos and accompanied by Kathy King, the group gave a performance that captivated the audience.

Their success was undeniable—so much so that both the performers and the audience were eager for more. This enthusiasm led to the official formation of the Liverpool Community Chorus, a group that has become a cherished part of the local community.

Over the years, the chorus has performed for thousands at various venues, including Liverpool High School, Johnson Park, holiday tree lighting ceremonies, the Everson Museum Festival of Trees, and most recently, the Rosamond Gifford Zoo’s “Holiday Lights” event.

The Liverpool Community Chorus is more than just a singing group—it’s a symbol of giving back to the community. Each year, the chorus awards scholarships to Liverpool High School students who excel in the district’s music programs. Beyond scholarships, the group's outreach efforts include performances at charitable events like “Sing for the Cure” for the Susan G. Komen Foundation, benefits for Ophelia’s Place, and contributing vocals to Big Mike’s “Christmas In Syracuse” to support Casey’s Place.

As the chorus enters its 45th year, excitement is in the air. They are thrilled to continue their tradition of bringing music and joy to the community.

What a legacy… what a tradition… this is the Liverpool Community Chorus.
